Here's the final invites. They turned out awesome! Totally what I invisioned in my head which you can't beat. Thanks to a little help from my friends, we were able to bust these babies out!

The insert idea came from a fabulous DIY knottie that I ran across. Her knottie name is buttaflai and her website is http://adorkable.so-uneek.com/?go=welcome. She is absolutely INCREDIBLE! I didn't know how I was going to bring my colors into my invite and the design down the inserts was PERFECT! I bought the design from istockphoto.com, edited it in Illustrator (which I've never used before) I made all of my inserts in Illustrator as well and the Invite part of it in PowerPoint as I didn't need to match the colors. My map I made in Illustrator then uploaded it to VistaPrint. I kind of messed up on the measurements so that's why it looks a little odd but I just realized that most people won't notice or care and if they do...well that's

I was going to be all fancy and to the wax seal. I love the look of it. But when I got it all put together, the thought of doing all of that just didn't sound fun...plus I was cutting it close with getting them out in time. So I designed a sticker closure instead with our monogram. I loved how it turned out!
they're problem.

I ordered the red backing paper and ivory envelopes from paperandmore.com for an awesome price. The packing has some texture so I liked it better than some other paper I saw. The invite and insert papers are just from a local wholesale paper distributor. They were $.08 cents each. Ribbon from Hobby Lobby.

Hit me up on the Utah board if you have any questions. My knottie name is sefaniee.

INVITES

So I have decided to tackle the DIY Invite project. Who knows what I'm thinking! Luckily I have a lot of fabulous ladies willing to help me out! I originally was going to make the pocketfolds myself but found a great deal on Cardsandpockets.com. I ordered the metallic black Signature Pocketfold. I need to still get the insert paper. I'm thinking of doing a thicker red border paper, thin teal right around the invite and then ivory invites. Should be fun!

Now I understand what everyone means by these are labors of love! I was having the hardest time figuring out how to bring my colors into this and it just all fell into place. We're finishing them up this weekend!!
